Changes in Kela’s benefit payments and customer service opening hours during Easter
Because of Easter, the dates for filing unemployment status reports are earlier than usual and unemployment benefits are also paid earlier than usual. Customers who want to have their social assistance payments for April deposited into their bank accounts before Easter need to make sure that the application and all the required supporting documents arrive at Kela by 20 March 2026.
Longer opening hours for Kela’s English-language phone service
As of Monday 16 March, Kela’s customer service numbers that provide service in English will answer calls between 9.00 and 16.00.
