The launch of the new version of MyKanta has begun – renew your prescription and give us feedback
The new version of MyKanta will be launched in stages from autumn 2023. We are actively listening to users as we develop the service. The first functionality that you will be able to try out in the new version of MyKanta is the Prescriptions section.
MyKanta is a nationwide online service where everyone can view their own health data, such as entries and diagnoses entered into the system by a doctor. You can also request prescription renewals in MyKanta.
The new version of MyKanta will focus on understandable language, ease of use of the service, and a clear layout. During the transition phase, the new and old versions of the services will be available to use side by side.
The new MyKanta will be easier to use
The address to log in to the new MyKanta remains the same: kanta.fi. Once you have logged in to the service, you can choose to use the new version of MyKanta. As of 25 October 2023, you can browse your prescriptions in the new version of MyKanta and request a prescription renewal from health care services. Other sections of the new service will be released at the end of 2023, and development will continue in 2024.
The new MyKanta is easier to use than the old version. Special attention has been paid to understandable language, a clear and modern layout and ease of use of the service. Efforts have been made in the new version of MyKanta to improve accessibility, for example, for people who use screen readers. The service also makes it simpler to view your own data and manage how it is used by social welfare and health services.
– We hope that as many people as possible try out the new version of MyKanta. In modernising MyKanta, we have listened to our users and taken their wishes into account. We want to develop the service together with MyKanta users, which is why feedback is extremely important to us throughout the entire process. Based on the feedback, we can make improvements to the service along the way, says Product Owner Minna Puolanmaa from Kanta Services.
You can give feedback on the updates to MyKanta directly in the new version of the service and by using the customer feed back form at kanta.fi.
The new and old versions will operate side by side during the transition phase
It will be possible to use the old version of MyKanta alongside the new one until sufficient functionalities are added to the new MyKanta service. The transition to the new version of MyKanta will be completed in 2024.
You can follow the progress of the new version of MyKanta on kanta.fi and on Kanta Services’ social media channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, and the messaging service X.
