MyKanta is open all summer – read our tips for the holidays

Important information will travel with you from one wellbeing services county to another and even abroad with the Kanta Services. Find out how we assist holidaymakers.
Health data goes on holiday with you
Are you wondering what the doctor said at your last appointment or what your test results were? You can easily check this information in MyKanta, where you can log in at kanta.fi, even from a summer cabin.
If you need health care services while you are at a summer cabin or during a holiday trip, your data will travel between wellbeing services counties with the help Kanta. This means that you can get medical care and be confident that your doctor has access to your data when needed.

Prescription medications can be purchased abroad
In addition to Finland, a Finnish electronic prescription can be used to purchase medicines in five EU countries: Estonia, Spain, Croatia, Poland, and Portugal. Other countries require a paper prescription in English. If necessary, be prepared to prove your right to carry your medicines with you when passing through customs.
