Maintenance allowance
The maintenance allowance is a compensation for additional expenses arising from rehabilitation. In order to qualify for a maintenance allowance, you must be in receipt of the minimum amount of rehabilitation allowance.
It is paid mainly during short-term outpatient rehabilitation interventions or during participation in assessments of rehabilitation need and potential.
The maintenance allowance is EUR 9.00 per day, and it is paid for days on which you are actively participating in rehabilitation. The maintenance allowance is tax-free.
The application process is the same as that for the rehabilitation allowance. The eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
