Janne is known at work as ‘Zen-Mattila’ and Riikka can calm people down by talking. Together they have looked into innovations such as the use of voice chatbots in Kela’s customer service and ways of using data to reach young people who are struggling.

“Maria was congratulated on my new job”

Maria Rajamäki and Maria Rajaniemi both work at Kela and often receive emails and invitations intended for the other. In addition to having almost identical names, they share a sense of humour, a taste in interior design and an ambitious approach to their work. When the two Marias met face-to-face for the first time after five years of friendship, they both felt a bit nervous.

Satu and Sini first got to know each other seven years ago at Kela’s Centre for International Affairs. To honour their friendship, they both got matching Kela tattoos on their arms.

“We're kind of like caretakers”

Henri and Petteri work together at Kela’s IT Customer Support and feel that they complement each other. Henri is quick to jump into different tasks while Petteri prefers to look at the big picture first. In their free time, they are both long-time supporters of Finnish ice hockey team JYP.
