<h1>Family courses for children with neurodevelopmental disorders</h1>

<p>Kela provides family courses for children who have been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder. The adaptation training is multidisciplinary and group-based.</p>

<p>At the course, the child and the family are provided with support to manage problems in their daily life and help to handle the situation. The aim of the rehabilitation is to promote functional capacity, life management and self-care skills. At the course, the family is also given information about the neurodevelopmental disorder from which the child is suffering and about rehabilitation practices and support networks available in their area.</p>

<h1>Perhekurssit lapselle, jolla on neurokehityksellinen häiriö</h1>

<p>Kela järjestää perhekursseja lapsille, joilla on todettu neurokehityksellinen häiriö. Sopeutumisvalmennus on moniammatillista ja ryhmämuotoista kuntoutusta.</p>

<p>Kurssilla lapsi ja hänen perheensä saavat tukea arkipäivän ongelmatilanteisiin ja apua elämäntilanteensa selkeyttämiseen. Kuntoutuksella pyritään mm. turvaamaan toimintakykyä, vahvistamaan elämänhallintaa ja tukemaan itsehoitoa. Kurssilla perhe saa myös tietoa lapsen neurokehityksellisestä häiriöstä, kuntoutuskäytännöistä ja oman asuinpaikkakuntansa tukiverkostoista.</p>

<h1>Familjekurser för barn med utvecklingsneurologiska funktionsnedsättningar</h1>

<p>FPA ordnar familjekurser för barn som har diagnostiserats med en utvecklingsneurologisk funktionsnedsättning. Anpassningsträningen är multiprofessionell rehabilitering, och den genomförs i grupp.</p>

<p>På en familjekurs får barnet och familjen stöd för att lösa problemsituationer i vardagen och hjälp med att reda ut sin livssituation. Syftet med rehabiliteringen är bland annat att trygga funktionsförmågan, att stärka förmågan att hantera livet och att stödja egenvård. På kursen får familjen också information om barnets utvecklingsneurologiska funktionsnedsättning, om olika rehabiliteringsmetoder och om stödnätverk på familjens bostadsort.</p>

<p>When you visit a service point, bring proof of identity, such as your passport or driver’s licence. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you need a specific power of attorney from that person and proof of your identity.</p><p>If you bring your online banking credentials or a mobile certificate, you can manage your Kela-related affairs on a self-service computer at the service point.</p><p>You are permitted to bring a guide dog, an assistance dog or a government working dog to a service point.</p>

Customer service points where service is provided by Kela’s employees. You can get personal advice in all Kela-related matters.
