Kela's Centre for International Affairs provides service to all customers who move to or from Finland and in other international situations.

The service is open between 10 am and 3 pm.
OmaKela e-service
You can use the OmaKela e-service for your Kela-related affairs. To log in to OmaKela, you need your online bank credentials or a mobile ID. Please note that the service is available in Finnish and Swedish only.

Social security matters when moving to or from Finland and in other international situations. Service is provided in Finnish and English.
Service in Swedish is provided at 020 634 0300 (Calling from abroad +358 20 634 0300) (Monday to Friday between 10 am and 3 pm).
State reimbursement for international medical care, ambulance flights when transferring patients between hospitals in the Nordic countries, entitlement to medical care, authorisation procedure when obtaining medical treatment abroad with prior authorisation, and requests for information about medical expenses incurred abroad, invoicing between countries related to medical care expenses 020 635 1808 (Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm).

Customers living outside Finland can also contact the Centre for International Affairs by email. If you live abroad and cannot use the OmaKela e-service because you do not have online banking credentials or a mobile ID, you can send encrypted email to the Centre for International Affairs.
Instructions for encrypted e-mail
- Click to open the secure email facility.
- Write your own email address in the Lähettäjä (Sender) field.
- You will receive an email message which contains a link you can use to send email to the Centre for International Affairs over a secure connection. The link is active for 30 days.
- Do not write your name or other personal information in the Aihe (Subject) field.
You can also use eIDAS identification when sending a message to Kela. eIDAS is currently compatible with the identification methods used in Estonia, Spain or Italy.
